The One and Only!

Got back from DMA a couple hours of ago. Most of you heard my take on this, so feel free to move on. :P

All I can say is wow. That was probably the most amazing experiences of my life. At first, I was honestly terrified. I don’t make friends easy, and I knew nobody. That lasted for a good 5 minutes before I realized everybody at DMA clicks. Everyone is a drum major. Everyone is a band geek. 

DMA wasn’t as hardcore as I thought it was going to be. It was extremely relaxing, but there were really long days, but all of it was so great. The first time presetting arms gave me chill. Learning about George N. Parks made me emotional. Haha. Just everything was awesome. I see now why people going to GNPDMA. 

I can’t wait for the 2012-2013 season. Changes are going to come, and I can’t wait to get on that podium and do my salute, and hear the claps of the stadium. I can’t wait until the company front and the last note.

Drum Major Academy is tomorrow, and I’m honestly really nervous and extremely excited at the same time. I’m going to be the only going, so I really don’t know anyone there. I guess that’s part of going to DMA, is to get to know people and communicate better. I wish it was longer than 5 days, but either way, I’m excited. I’m really excited for the march-offs too! I don’t think I’ll get very far, but, we’ll see.

If anyone on Tumblr happens to read this…are you going to DMA at Stetson University? If so, message me, so I have a friend already! :P Haha.
